Christmas present

Today I saw an ad about a boy who couldn't wait for Christmas. He was disappointed because the advent calendar showed him that he was far from Christmas so he tried to make the time go faster with magic but it didn't. On Christmas Eve the boy was eating fast because he couldn't wait to give his mum and dad present. In the morning the boy woke up and ignored he’s present. I was surprised because he went to the cupboard to get a present. I wondered who could it be for. So he rushed to mum’s room. So the present was for his parents.

I want to give my mum and dad special books a because reading is good for them.

Today, Room 14 went to assembly in the hall to do a item. Because we are learning about dinosaurs and there is a song called there one in the bush.

When we were walking up onto the stage I felt nervous about to performing on stage in front of the whole school. We were dancing to there's one in the bush song. I enjoyed about it when I was smiling when I was dancing.

I felt happy when everyone was laughing at Arthur. I would like to do a another performance in front of everyone.

Predator X

The Predator X was the strongest sea carnivore which lived millions and millions of years ago. It was the most humongous dinosaur in the whole world.

The Predator X has sharp teeth like a shack to quickly eat the fishes. It also had long fins to go fast in the sea. They have very big mouths like a crocodile. They also had big body so it will swim softly in the water.

The Predator X is a terrifying dinosaur like a sea monster.

Diplodocus

Diplodocus was the longest herbivore which lived millions of years ago. It was one of the biggest dinosaurs.

Diplodocus was a amazing animal. It had a long long neck to reach the treetop. Also it had flat teeth to eat leaves. It also had short legs and had one claw because it didn't fight properly. It had a small teeth to chew properly too. 

I thought that it was strong to fight other dinosaurs.

The navy band.

On Thursday after morning tea the whole school went to the hall because the navy band coming. When we got there and sit down to watch the item.

When it became to play beautiful music. My favourite part is when the man scrt water on us. We were learning about what musical instruments sound like and also are they called. I felt very very excited. There were pop song, classical, jazz and national anthem. The musical anthem called electrical guitar, trombone, tuba, flute and clarinet.

I liked about the show is singing the uptown funk. The show inspired the me to learn to play the electrical guitar.

Egg and spoon race.

In the morning, Mr Blakey told us about when he was little, he played egg and spoon challenge.When we went outside it was a bit cold. We went out there to egg and spoon race because Mr Blakey wanted to try a new game.

Room 14 was spelt into three groups and each team get one spoon and one egg. When Mr Blakey said go we have to balance the egg so it will not fall down. For the egg it was pretend because the was a tennis ball. When we go the boys keep using two hands but you have to use one hand at the back and one hand holding the spoon. Also we walk slowly so the egg won't wobble and fall.

I liked it because the game was tricky and hard. I want to play the game again because it is funny.

Why do we wear hats

Why do we need hats? Because it stops glare, stops you getting burnt and it will keep you cool.

The assembly

On Monday morning, we went to the hall for an assembly. We were there because it was for the theme of the term. The theme is survivors. We saw some funny videos.

My favourite part in the assembly was team 4’s funny video, because Desmond thought he was in Amenca and there were Kangaroos. Also the girl was scared, because the teacher tricked her.

My second favourite is the team 1s challenge with singing Katy perry roar. I liked it because of the people's singing.

I loved the assembly because there were funny videos and I learned about survivors.

My holiday

In the holidays on the 10th of October it was my 8th birthday. Me and my Mum baked a tall cake and there was a mystery y. When the birthday was starting, we played pass-a-passo, musical Shashou and pinata. After that we had the cake, after I slaed the cake, everyone was sipras because inside was a rainbow. When we all ate, we were opening presents, and after that the party was over. At my birthday I felt marvellous and surprise.

A singer

A singer's main role is to entertain a audience by writing an performing great music. It is cool because you can sing when you're on stage. I think a singer is fantastic for me.

I'd love to be a firefighter.

A firefighter needs to be brave, courageous and always willing to help others. A firefighter is a brave, good job because it is a dangerous thing to do. Being a firefighter would a good job for me.

Like to be a pilot.

To be a good pilot you need to think carefully, to make decisions and always have the safety of others in mind. It is going to be an amazing time being a pilot because it looks like you are going to the moon. Maybe a pilot is a cool Idea for me.

Being a scientist

Scientist work hard to solve interesting problems that most of us will never understand. Being a scientist is fantastic because you can be smart. I think a scientist is a cool job for me.

My house

We are learning to use full stops and capital letters.

Write a paragraph with 3 (or more) sentences about your house. Use full stops and capital letters.

My house has a see through door. There was three bedrooms and also only one story. Outside in my backyard, I got a playground and a big flower garden. I've got one bathroom. There is a old garage. My house  is small. My roof is white. My house has one toilet.

Why I was late for school.

I woke up at 7:00am. It was a normal because I had a frozen cereal and got into my uniform. After that I put my lunchbox in my bag and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then my Mum took me to school.

On the way to school a huge dinosaur was running after me! He nearly ate my body. But then the huge dinosaur ran away because I scared him. That why I was late for school today.

Rainy Monday

On Monday it was a stormy day. That meant plants were falling, hail storm like ice are falling just like snow rain, little drops, and thunder lightning like lions roaring and lightning is like a fast cheetah.Then I was feeling freezing and cold. I wish I was at home and keeping warm when I eating fruits.

Feeding the birds

Holding our piece of bread, we crept on to the field to feed the gulls. We were walking like a silent, quiet, skinny snake.

After that we were throwing our piece of bread like a shooting gun. Then the birds were whooping on the ground like a fast plans.

Chores

Do you know which chores I hate doing? It's doing the laundry and cleaning the

toilet. I hate them because they're  disgusting.

Do you know which chore I like best? It's taking the rubbish to the blue bin.I like this because it's cool to do it for your parents to take a rest. I like cleaning up the toys. I love it because you do other things when your finish.

Long jump

I jump on 1 foot and land on two feet.

I don't jump with my legs straight.

I bend my arms to speed me up.

I look forward to see where I go.

I don't put my hands behind me.

Jump high like a bouncey frogs.

Ratcatcher

A ratcatcher's job is to catch as many rats as they can in one day. Ratcatcher's climb down the sewer which smell disgusting. They catch hordes of rats because they don't like spreading disease to lots of people.

Dear Awkward Guys,

Yesterday, I saw you having serious problems running down the road in your brand new running gear.  It looked like you were really in need of some help, so I decided to write to you to give you two tips.

Firstly, it is a good idea to bend your arms so it speeds you up. But if you don't you look uncomfortable and like a penguin.

Secondly you also run on your tip-toes so it make your legs feels comfortable. If you don't you look like a man running like a silly penguin.

Then you look straight ahead to where you're going. If you don't you bump into car, trees, poles and people.

Winter field.

Did you know that our school field is muddy, slippery and disgusting? I saw our was field so wet and dirty. I don't like muddy puddles because they are disgusting.

Cook Islands week.

In the Cook Islands we can climb the coconut tree. We need the coconuts to sell in the market. I like to visit the Cook Islands because they have beautiful friendly people and funny dancing and shiny beauty water.

Weaving harakeke

Today we weaved a fish out of harakeke. First we made a big loop. Second we put the other on the front of a top weave put it though. Next we turn it and put though the loop. Then we turn like a ballerina. Now you have a star. But it's not yet. Then we cut one of them to be the fens and two of them to be the wings. And finally it is a fish.

Big hero 6

Today  I listened to big Hero 6. His name is hero. He is funny and even he always tell jokes. I like him because he misses his brother.

Basketball

We played basketball every Monday morning with Coach Vinnie and Coach Shanice. Coach Vinnie look like a very good basketball player.Coach Shanice look like a very good player of basketball and she is very nice and good.

We played lots different games to practice skill of basketball. It was a running game which was Golden Child this is how it works. So you ever is in front they go running fast as they can . But when anyone shoot it in they have to stay where they are.

Toy story.

 Today I listened to toy story. He's name is woody. He is very funny and he is a toy. I love him because he always tell all the time.

Matariki

Matariki is the name of a group of stars that appear in the night sky. It marks the beginning of Maori new year which is a time for people to celebrate.

There are lots of different ways to celebrate Matariki.It is a time to grow vegetables to keep yourself healthy. It is a time to watch performances and often there are good dances.

Rapunzel

Today I listened to Rapunzel. Her name is Rapunzel. She's so pretty and very nice. And she is a beautiful and beauty princess. I like her because she is funny.

Our trees.

Trees supply oxygen to help us breathe. They provide homes for wildlife and shelter for everything. Trees help make our world more beautiful and we are lucky to have amazing trees at pt England.

From faraway the macrocarpa look like walking trees with their spooky and scary branches. The tall trunk like a scary monster running after me.

My little mermaid.

Today I listened to my little Mermaid. Her name is Arial. She is beautiful like a princess. And she's very good and kind . I like her because she can sing very nice.

Morning walk.

This morning we went for a walk. We were walking on the grass which was wet and frosty. The grass looked white and frozen.

When we walking we saw spider webs glistening in the morning sun. 

The spider web on the fence look like a hexagon which made the spider web look beautiful.

When I was walking through the trees I saw Pt. England beach which was covered in thick fog.

Romeow and Drooliet

Today I listened to Romeow and Drooliet. This is a girl. Her name is Drooliet. She is beautiful and nice. She look like a good princess. I love her because sunshine flower.

Mr Burt

Mr Burt,our principal of pt England school. He looks handsome

And wear nice and fancy clothes. His shoes look shiny and bright

Mr Burt is very busy because he looks after the school like

a real principal's. He is proud of his students.

Library lion

Today I listened to Library lion. This is a boy. He is a lion. He can smell good and he sleep well. I like him because he's funny, cute and fantastic.

The snail

Snails look slimy so they are not good to touch . They have a Shell which is hard and protect it.

They live in the shade because want some quiet and we can easily find snails on trees and rocks where they sleep and play.

All snails can eat leaves, and rotten tomatoes and also eat all fruit.

Our playground

The whole school uses our playground. It's on the bottom field and it's near the kindergarten. The playground is also by the horses.

And it made of metal, wood and plastic. The playground is long and wide. It looks colourful. We can see black, grey, blue and

yellow.

There are lots of things that we can play on the playground. I love gliding on the slide because it's slippery and funny. And also the super flying fox. Because it's funny and fantastic.
